Continue readingAfter years of advocacy, the existing Quasi Rent Stabilization (QRS) agreement has been extended through 2069. The current 2.5% cap on annual increases will remain in place for over 400 apartments — not just through 2030, but to the end of Marina Towers / Lefrak’s current ground lease with Battery Park City Authority (BPCA). The extension applies to residents already covered by the QRS agreement (generally those who have been Gateway residents since 2009).
